The study analyzed more than 60 employer seals and tested their effect on applicants in a randomized experiment with 1,093 participants. The central result: a credible employer seal increased the stated likelihood of applying by around 16 percentage points.

The research also showed that credibility depends on the criteria behind a seal. Transparent and verifiable assessment methods matter more than the design of the logo. The study has been cited in the trade press and is indexed on Google Scholar and ResearchGate.
